WHAT (or WHO) is the CHURCH?

Church is a New Testament word meaning/referring to a congregation/gathering/assembly of people.

“Church” happens anywhere people gather in the name of the LORD Jesus.

WHAT is the PURPOSE of the CHURCH?

The primary purpose of the church is to meet the needs of the less fortunate in the world.

The church (those who confess Jesus as Saviour) are also called to make disciples by preaching the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Is CHURCH a SUNDAY SERVICE?

No.

However a Sunday service is one common and potentially effective form of ‘doing church’. (People gathering to meet the needs of others. To be discipled and to disciple others.)
