Often PRAISE and WORSHIP songs are categorised by their TEMPO …
… FAST songs are PRAISE songs,
… SLOWER songs are WORSHIP songs.
It’s more about WHAT we are singing, rather than how FAST we are singing
Psalm 47:7b says “Sing praises with understanding“
Praise is understanding who God is and speaking of His wonderful attributes.
Gods character and magnitude is unsearchable, there is not enough we can say to encapsulate all He is.
We can not speak highly enough of who He is and all He does. Doing so is our PRAISE.
Gods own Word often expresses best, who God is and what He has done, is doing and will do for us.
Speak the Word of God and praise His holy name!
WORSHIP is about our devotion to and love for God. It is expressing our gratitude and surrender to Him.
Worship is a personal connection and communication. Our worship can be expressed through songs of any tempo. The speed, tone and volume of a song is not the key ingredient … but a heart-felt adoration that converts to everyday living for Him
